DISH Pro DVR 510 has many features including technologically enhanced event timers, a remote, UHF/Infrared, functions from other areas, parental control using v-chip with different passwords for adult and pay-per-view programming, optical output for sound – Dolby, 5.1, Digital. You could easily browse channels and select pay-per-view using your remote. All software is upgraded by satellite, with enhancements being added automatically. Dish Network’s advanced technology in digital satellite services offers interactive services with on screen EPG to allow you ease in selection of gaming, weather, and traffic programming. Your On screen guide also has 2 display options – full screen or PIP – so you could view channel listings containing current information. The Flash memory feature assures that programming descriptions are immediate as info is downloaded from Dish Network’s satellites every 4 hours and transmitted to your Flash memory. You could advance the programming guide by hours or days – depending on what you are locating, and the event timers let you program your receiver to record any programming on your hard disk or other media.

Dish Network has made recording programming so easy that it would be convenient to record and save special programming indefinitely. The Info button lets you see programming information quickly, providing you with a summary of the program as well as starting and ending times. This information is transposed so you could watch your program while you are viewing this info. Themes and Favorites lists let you program your favorites in list format easily for later viewing. The Browse Banner feature lets you see, while you are watching a program, what is now showing and what is coming next. Then you could click Info and acquire a summary of the program content. Recall lets you toggle back and forth between channels. With the 50 channels of Sirius digital music, you could make your selection from among 30 different genres and while you are listening to the song, the name of the song and recording artist, with album name, is being displayed on your screen.
